Hi, I’m Lauren (pronouns: she/her).  I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in New Jersey, Florida, and Connecticut, but you might also call me a relationship healer and self-care enthusiast. This means I am passionate about helping you create healthy, fulfilling relationships with others while caring for the relationship you have with yourself.

What I Do

My passion lies in bringing families together to create new ways of loving, living and relating.  It is my belief that your home should be a place of sanctuary.

When you are struggling with the same arguments with your children or spouse…

When your family is rocked by a major life change…

When depression or anxiety has moved in and claimed residency in your home…

We work together for your family to become “unstuck” and reconnected while also fostering growth in each person.

How we do this and Why I do it

Changing family patterns means

Identifying the unique and wonderful ways your family is connected…

Grieving the impact of major life struggles…

Challenging and changing what is not working…

We dig into exploring communication styles, emotional expression, and personal roles in your family and child’s life so that you can create new, productive patterns.  My own path to wellness has taught me that stress and conflict affect how we interact with our loved ones. Furthermore, change can turn our lives upside down. But in struggle there is hope for growth, positive change and interconnectedness.  We can be ourselves, connected to our loved ones, and weather the storms of life and children’s developmental struggles.

I have my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University and my Undergraduate in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey.  I am the treasurer for the Central New Jersey Chapter for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Indeed, I value connections to my community, my profession and those I serve.

Finding Hope

Strong relationships within couples and between parents and children are the heart of family. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, food allergies, divorce/remarriage, or grief and loss, I use my expertise to help you and your family survive and thrive through this process.

I am proud to be located in Scotch Plains, NJ, serving Fanwood, Westfield, Cranford and surrounding areas.  Online therapy services are offered for the state of New Jersey.
